AI-Powered Piano Piece Annotation
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Project goal:
I’ll provide a MusicXML file (uncompressed .musicxml) of a piano piece. Your job is to return a fully annotated MusicXML that adds teacher-style guidance while keeping the original score intact.
Key idea: Use AI (OpenAI/ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, etc.) + your own logic/scripts to generate high-quality, annotations that a pianist would actually want. Do not change pitches, durations, voices, beaming, or layout—add annotations only.
Tooling (choose your stack)
Use ChatGPT / OpenAI, Gemini, Grok, etc API. to propose candidate annotations.
Scripting (optional but preferred): Python + music21, or direct XML transforms.
You may combine AI suggestions with your own music knowledge. Final output must be valid MusicXML.
Acceptance Criteria
No fatal errors; renders fingerings and text at expected positions (RH above/LH below).
Fingerings appear only where musically justified (teacher-like restraint).
Chunk labels appear at the intended measures; chord names are musically plausible.
No changes to musical content (notes/durations/voices).
XML is well-formed and tidy (no duplicate/empty tags).
