Project Overview
We are seeking a skilled development team to create a web-based application that can recognize speech in real-time during an English presentation and translate it into Chinese. The application should display bilingual subtitles (English and Chinese)
Speech Recognition
Utilize the Whisper ASR system for speech recognition.
Real-time recognition of English speech during a presentation.
Translation
Implement OpenAI API for translating the recognized English speech into Chinese.
The translation should be as real-time as possible to maintain the flow of the presentation.
User Interface
Develop a web-based user interface that can be accessed through browsers.
Display bilingual subtitles (English and Chinese) simultaneously during the presentation.
Integrate a window at the top of the subtitle display area to play PPT presentations.
Open Source Code Modification
The project should preferably be built by modifying open-source code to expedite development and maintain transparency.
Deliverables
A fully functional web-based application meeting the technical requirements mentioned above.
Documentation detailing the architecture of the application, including the integration of Whisper ASR and OpenAI API.
A user manual for navigating and utilizing the application.
Source code of the application.
