Open Journal Systems Journal - Deployment & Customization

We need an experienced Open Journal Systems (OJS) developer to install, customize, configure, and deploy an academic journal as per a provided template. The journal must be fully functional and ready for article submission, peer review, copyediting, and publication.

Hosting will be provided by us. Complete source code and database handover is mandatory.

Scope (Summary)

Install and configure latest stable OJS on our server

Set up journal details, policies, theme, and branding as per template

Configure full editorial workflow (submission → review → copyediting → publication)

Configure SMTP email and automated system emails

Set up user roles (Editor, Reviewer, Author, etc.)

End-to-end testing and bug fixing

Deploy live journal and hand over code + admin access

Journal ready for live submissions and publications

Requirements

Proven OJS experience (mandatory)

PHP / MySQL / server setup knowledge

Academic journal setup experience preferred
