Opencart Journal template modifications

I have an Opencart online page based on the Journal template. I am selling some products at the moment but...
I am interested to have a single category (Equipment for rent) from which all products will be for rent. All other categories and products will stay exactly the same. All checkout processes will be the same.

The price will be displayed per day (example: $10 per day...) but the user will be able to book only a minimum of 3 days (72 hours). Also, I want to give them a discount for booking for 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks or 4 weeks (one day for free for every week that they book - 1 week = 1 day free; 2 weeks = 2 days free...).
At the checkout, we will require 20% deposit, so we can reserve the products. The rest of the payment will be taken when the products will be collected.
Seems that all modifications can be made from the Journal template. In the design tab, the design can be changed from the layout override. A new layout only for the products allocated to that category seems to be enough.
Please do let me know if you can do it, how much money is required for the job and how much time you will need to deliver it.
