Hybrid Microsoft Exchange Architecture Setup
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I need to design and deploy a true hybrid Microsoft Exchange environment that cleanly connects our existing Office 365 tenant with a new on-premises Exchange footprint. The work includes assessing our current mail flow and directory structure, preparing the on-prem server(s), and configuring secure, highly available coexistence so end-users experience a single, unified mailbox no matter where it resides.
Key elements of the engagement
• Environment assessment and documented hybrid design that follows Microsoft best practices.
• Installation and hardening of the on-prem Exchange servers, plus Azure AD Connect configuration for directory synchronization.
• Setup of hybrid mail routing, free/busy sharing, and automatic mailbox moves between on-prem and Office 365.
• Validation testing and a concise runbook we can follow for future maintenance.
Acceptance criteria
– All test mailboxes send/receive internally and externally without disruption.
– Free/busy and calendar sharing function across both environments.
– Hybrid wizard completes with zero critical errors, and health checks show green status.
– A step-by-step handover document (Word or PDF) is supplied and verified by our team.
I already have the Office 365 tenant in production; the missing piece is the on-prem side and the glue that ties the two together. Familiarity with Exchange Hybrid Wizard, PowerShell, and modern authentication is essential.
