On-Site Senior Accountant Needed
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m looking for a seasoned accountant with at least six years of hands-on experience who can join us on-site in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo. My company operates in the service sector, and I need someone who can quickly take charge of our financial reporting and manage all audit-related responsibilities.
Key objectives
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with local and IFRS standards.
• Lead our audit and assurance process—from planning through final sign-off—working directly with external auditors.
• Optimise and maintain our Odoo accounting environment: refine the chart of accounts, automate recurring entries, and ensure clean data migration where needed.
• Strengthen internal controls and document clear, practical procedures for the finance team.
• Train junior staff so they can confidently produce first-pass reports and support audit requests.

• Proven track record delivering both financial reporting and audit assignments for service-based organisations.
• Deep knowledge of Odoo; you can configure modules, create custom reports, and troubleshoot reconciliation issues without outside help.
• Solid understanding of Congolese tax and statutory requirements.
• Excellent French or English communication skills to coordinate with management and external stakeholders.
Deliverables
1. First set of compliant monthly financial statements within 30 days of arrival.
2. Audit file (lead schedules, reconciliations, supporting documentation) ready for external auditors each quarter.
3. Written internal control checklist and workflow guide tailored to our operations.
4. Brief skills-transfer sessions for junior accountants, including follow-up Q&A.
