Secure Odoo-Claude Integration

I’m running a self-hosted Odoo v17 instance and I want it to speak with Claude in a strictly controlled, read-only fashion. The goal is for Claude to pull customer-relationship data, inventory figures and any other information needed to generate automated reports—nothing more, no write or admin rights at all.

Security is paramount, so I’m open to whichever connection method (API, webhooks, or another highly secure approach you can justify) best keeps the data safe while remaining maintainable with future Odoo and Claude updates. You’ll need to map the relevant Odoo models, handle authentication, and make sure permission scopes remain locked to read-only.

Deliverables should include:
• A working integration module or middleware script fully installed on my server
• Clear documentation outlining setup steps, permission scopes, and how to extend or revoke access later
• A brief validation session proving Claude can retrieve CRM records, inventory levels and produce sample automated reports without altering data
