Retail Odoo Accounting Setup

I run a retail business and am ready to launch a brand-new Odoo environment dedicated to bookkeeping and daily financial control. Because we are starting from scratch, there is no legacy data to import—everything will be configured fresh.

What I need is a complete accounting setup that fits a retail workflow: proper chart of accounts aligned with my local regulations, tax and fiscal positions, journals for sales, purchases, cash and bank, accurate inventory valuation that ties back to cost of goods sold, and clean reconciliation procedures. I will probably rely on modules such as sales, invoicing and inventory once the core is in place, but I’m open to your advice on the optimal mix.

Key deliverables
• Odoo installed (or connected to my existing server) and company basics filled in
• Chart of accounts, taxes, fiscal year, currencies and journals configured and tested
• Inventory integration tuned for retail (FIFO/average, stock input & output accounts, etc.)
• End-to-end flow demo: create a sale → invoice → payment → bank reconciliation → financial reports
• Short hand-over document or video walkthrough so my staff can repeat the process
