Odoo Product Attribute Enhancements
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I need to tidy up and extend the way product data is handled in my Odoo system, mainly for automotive spare-parts.
First, Make and Model must work as a true parent / child pair: Make as the attribute, Model as the sub-attribute. I want new fields where they are missing, updates where they already exist, and a solid link between them so the right values flow automatically into sales, purchase, CRM and catalogue views.
Next come the photos. Each product should carry three distinct images—main photo, Make-level photo and Model-level photo—yet fall back gracefully to a single default when only one image is supplied. These images have to appear consistently on the website, internal forms and in the customer portal.
Prices and MRP need their own space. Add fields for MRP, Price Including GST and Price Without GST, with tax calculations always staying correct and the proper figure printing on quotes, sales orders and catalogues.
Additional tweaks I rely on:
• Product location field.
• Auto-suggestion of alternative items from the same brand with the identical OEM part number, plus cross-brand suggestions for the same model.
• Part-number search available on the webshop.
• Permission-controlled display of product-related videos, photos and notes inside the customer portal.
• Barcode printout for purchase bills.
• Customer-specific discount rules by brand.
Finally, I need a catalogue generator that lets me export a PDF or XLS by selected items, by brand or by category, each line showing product photo, price, direct webshop link and the Make / Model attributes.
Everything must reside in a clean custom module with no core edits and remain upgrade-safe. I will sign off once all features work on my test database and the module can be deployed to production without extra tweaks.
