Odoo POS Integration with Retail Scales (Australia)
Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
We are an Australian grocery retailer implementing Odoo Enterprise POS and require an experienced Odoo developer/consultant to integrate our retail weighing scales (Name and Model: Datalogic Magellan 9800i) with Odoo POS.
Current Environment:
* Odoo Enterprise
* Retail grocery business
* Multiple stores and warehouse operations
* Barcode scanning in use
* Products sold by weight (fruit, vegetables, nuts, etc.)
* Scale hardware: Datalogic Magellan 9800i scanner-scale
Scope:
1. Review our existing scale hardware and compatibility with Odoo.
2. Configure or develop integration between scales and Odoo POS.
3. Support barcode/price embedded labels if required.
4. Ensure weighed products correctly sync to Odoo POS transactions.
5. Advise on best-practice hardware setup (IoT Box, scale models, printers, etc.).
6. Provide documentation and handover.
Scale Information:
* We currently use Datalogic scales and can provide model numbers/photos.
* Experience with Australian grocery retail environments preferred.
Required Experience:

Preference will be given to applicants who have completed grocery, supermarket, produce, deli, butcher, or retail POS integrations. Must have experience connecting Odoo POS / Odoo IoT Box with scanner-scales using serial/USB scale protocols.
We are looking for a long-term Odoo partner for future projects including Shopify integration, warehouse management, inventory management, and multi-store retail operations.
