Odoo Email Server Setup
Budget: £18 – £36 GBP
I need my Odoo instance to send email reliably through Gmail. The Gmail account is ready, but I have not yet generated an app password or adjusted the “less secure app” settings, so I’ll need guidance and step-by-step help there. Once the SMTP credentials are sorted, the connection must be entered in Odoo, tested, and left working for all transactional and marketing messages.
Alongside this, there are several other cleanup items on my backlog—mandatory customer fields, newsletter opt-in, Instagram media ID errors, auto-generated certificates, missing tax on course sales, Squarespace to Odoo record migration for full Canva use, and an events location link—but the email server configuration comes first. Clearing that hurdle will let us move on to the rest in an orderly fashion.
Deliverables
• A working Gmail SMTP configuration in Odoo with verified test messages
• Written notes (or short screen-capture) showing how the app password was created and where the settings live inside Odoo for future reference
• A brief checklist of any follow-up steps or limitations I should be aware of
