Odoo Customer Search Fields
Budget: $8 – $15 AUD
My Odoo instance needs a small but important tweak: I want customers to be searchable directly from the template. The data in scope is customer details only, and within that I care about name and contact information.
Please add search inputs that let users filter by:
• first or last name
• email address
• phone number
• unique number identifier
• card number
• QR code
Everything should slot cleanly into the existing view, rely on Odoo’s native search domain logic (no hacks that break on upgrades), and return accurate results without a full page reload.
Deliverables
• Updated XML/OWL view (or QWeb, depending on what you feel is best) showing the new fields
• Any supporting Python or JS snippets required to wire the filters into Odoo’s backend
• A short read-me so I can reproduce the change on staging and production
