Odoo CRM Implementation and Customization
Budget: $750 – $1,500 CAD
Project Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Odoo developer to implement and customize an Odoo CRM system for our organization. The project involves setting up a VPS, installing Odoo CRM, configuring multiple companies and user roles, creating custom modules with unit tests, setting up dashboards, integrating an Outlook connector, and providing ongoing support. Future phases of the project will be developed with the selected Freelancer.
Project Phases and Scope:
Phase 1: Setup and Installation
Setup VPS:
Configure and secure a VPS to host the Odoo CRM.
Ensure VPS meets the necessary requirements for optimal Odoo performance.
Install Odoo CRM:
Install the latest version of Odoo CRM.
Install additional Odoo apps as needed for our operations.
Phase 2: Configuration
3. Set up Companies:
Configure 1 Parent Company and 9 Affiliate Companies within Odoo.
Ensure each company has its own database and can operate independently.
Set up Roles:
Define and configure user roles:
Super Admin for the Parent Company.
Admin for each Affiliate Company.
General Users for all companies.
Phase 3: Custom Module Development
5. Custom Contact Management Module:
Create a module that allows each Affiliate Company to add contacts with specific fields not shared with others.
Implement functionality to show ownership of contacts without revealing sensitive contact details (email, phone numbers).
Ensure general contact info for the company is visible to all Affiliates.
Develop and run appropriate unit tests for the module.
Custom Opportunity/Project Module:
Develop a module allowing Affiliates to attach their own Opportunity/Lead and Project numbers to shared Opportunities/Projects.
Enable Affiliates to link other companies to an Opportunity.
Implement options to keep Opportunities and Projects hidden from other Affiliates when necessary.
Ensure all Opportunities and Projects are visible to the Parent Company.
Develop and run appropriate unit tests for the module.
Phase 4: Integration
7. Outlook Connector:
Implement an Outlook connector to automatically create Opportunities/Leads from emails sent to specific addresses.
Enable each Affiliate to have a separate email address dedicated to their company.
Allow users to add contacts directly from Outlook.
Phase 5: Dashboards
8. Dashboard Setup:
Create individual dashboards for each Affiliate Company.
Develop a consolidated dashboard for the Parent Company.
Set up a shared dashboard for Business Development meetings.
Ensure dashboards provide key metrics, performance indicators, and relevant analytics.
Phase 6: Maintenance and Support
9. Maintenance and Support:
Provide 30 days of maintenance and support post-implementation.
Address any issues and ensure smooth operation of the system.
Additional Requirements:
Data Migration:
Facilitate the import of existing customer data into the new Odoo CRM system from each Affiliate.
Ensure smooth data export capabilities for reporting and backup purposes.
GitHub and Automated Testing:
Set up a GitHub repository for version control.
Implement automated testing to ensure continuous integration and delivery.
Security and Compliance:
Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive customer data.
Ensure the CRM system complies with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
Future Phases:
Advanced Analytics and Automations will be developed as future phases of the project with the selected Freelancer.
Requirements:
Proven experience with Odoo development and customization.
Strong understanding of Odoo CRM and related modules.
Ability to configure multi-company setups and custom user roles.
Expertise in creating custom modules with unit tests and integrating third-party applications.
Experience in setting up GitHub and automated testing.
