Customize Odoo Quotation Fields
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I need help tweaking the Quotation model in my Odoo instance so every new quote captures two extra pieces of information— a product picture for each line item and the customer’s signature— and treats both as mandatory before the document can be saved or confirmed.
The work I have in mind:
• Extend the Sales > Quotation form to add the Product Picture and Signature fields, marking them as required.
• Make sure those fields are stored properly in the database and appear in any tree, kanban, or PDF/QWeb print-outs the sales team uses.
• Add server-side validation so users cannot progress or print the quotation without completing those two fields.
• Keep the existing layout intact; I only want the new data points integrated, not a full redesign.
I’m comfortable if you use Odoo Studio for the UI, but any backend work (models, views, security rules) must be done through clean, upgrade-safe modules. Once finished, a short README explaining the changes and how to move them between environments will be enough for hand-over.
If you have done similar field-level customisations in Odoo before, this should be straightforward. Let me know your estimated turnaround and the Odoo version you prefer to target so we can align quickly and get this live.
