MAP Medical is seeking a freelance IT Manager to support us on an hourly/project basis, as we strive to fulfill our mission of being the preferred source of medical supplies and equipment for our enterprise healthcare clients. As we begin to grow, our goal would be to evolve the IT Manager role to a full-time, salaried position. As we are a start-up operation, the IT Manager may be asked to wear multiple hats, beyond traditional IT Manager duties / responsibilities.

Pay Range

Compensation ranges from $40-$70 p/hr, commensurate with experience and skillset. We are happy to commit to a minimum number of hours per week. It is management’s objective to evolve this role from a contract, hourly basis to a full-time internal role as the business grows.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill IT-related gaps, and generate new ideas that improve operational efficiency, improve customer experience, and drive growth

Maintain website/ERP (Odoo) operational readiness, performance and security

Ensure all historical data is backed up, and oversee data recovery as needed

Research, recommend and procure hardware and software tools that drive operational efficiency and market share growth

Setup hardware/software for new hires, and provide all employees with tech support for their computer and communications systems

Ensure data privacy and security measures are in place and compliant with regulations

Oversee and execute data imports and exports from critical systems

Manage IT department’s budget and provide regular reporting on spend to upper management

Implement and manage customer feedback from online customer reviews (Google, Yelp, BBB)



Required Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Either:

Minimum 2 years' experience with Odoo ERP managing support to backend/frontend troubleshooting

Deep Experience with any specific Odoo modules including Sales, CRM, Inventory, Purchase, Website, and Accounting a plus

Minimum 3 years’ ERP experience in all supply chain and finance areas

Proven experience operating within a B2B wholesale eCommerce company

Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts.

Experience in the design, build, and delivery of a SaaS solution with a wide customer base.

Expert in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.

Ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve problems

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and have considerable latitude for making decisions

Exceptional analytical and statistical skills with the ability to apply them to systems issues and products as required

Proven software experience with APIs and SQL

Strong written and verbal communication skills required

Ability to translate technical language to non-technical stakeholders is a plus

Self-motivated and directed with a positive and upbeat attitude a plus

Willingness to where multiple hats and the match entrepreneurial spirit of your colleagues preferred

Available on-demand during standard business hours (9am-5pm CST), with some weekends, and willingness to grow into full-time role is preferred

US-based candidates preferred, but not required

Experience working with start-up companies a plus
