Crowdfunding Expert for Creative Project

Job ID: 38170331

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

My creative project calls for resourceful funding, preferably made open to the general public. I am seeking the expertise of an experienced freelancer who can help me set up a compelling Go Fund Me account and can guide me to leverage video presentations for my campaign.

I am specifically looking for someone who is at least slightly familiar with service animals and Parkinson's disease. It would also be helpful if they were as least equally creative to myself and someone whom I can bounce ideas off of and would be able to add different insights from my own.

Parkinson's is an insidious disease characterized by "off episodes" during which, a person frequently suddenly loses much of their control over one or more muscle groups. Recently, new medications have been brought into play that can mitigate and/or curtail off episodes in as little as five to ten minutes if they are taken immediately preceding the off episode.

Attempts to train dogs to provide advance notice of their owners' impending off episodes have not been particularly successful. This is probably because, unlike various other diseases where dogs can provide advance warnings, Parkinson's off episodes are not preceded by body chemistry changes that dogs are, to varying degrees, able to detect. However, there is another domestic animal that has demonstrated the ability to detect and visibly react to the tiny muscle contractions that usually presage a Parkinson's off episode. That animal is the domestic chicken.

A growing number of people have been keeping chickens as pets. I have been able to both house break chickens and to get them to want little more in life than to sit on their owner's lap, watch television with their owner, be hand fed their meals, and to be treated similarly to other household pets. I have also been able to successfully train chickens to give advance warning of when their owner, who has Parkinson's, is about to have an off episode. Proof of concept has been accomplished. Where I need to go from here is to:

1. Determine which breeds of chickens are the most fitted to serve as service animals for persons with Parkinson's;

2. Develop a breeding program for these chickens;

3. Develop a viable training and certification regime for chickens as service animals; and

4. Publicize and introduce chickens as a new type of service animal to fulfill a particular need for Parkinson's patients.

Key tasks:

- Account setup and configuration on Go Fund Me.
- Development of a persuasive campaign pitch.
- Assisting in the creation of efficient video presentations for a larger outreach.

Ideal Candidate:

- Knowledgeable about crowdfunding, especially on platforms like Go Fund Me.
- A knack for storytelling that convinces a diverse audience.
- Previous experience in video content creation and presentation.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and with a detail-oriented approach.

Your expertise will be a game-changer in making my creative project a grand success. I look forward to your contributions.
