Job Description
We are looking for an experienced developer to design, build, and maintain a Slack app using the Bolt framework. This role requires deep familiarity with Slack APIs, interactive components, and best practices for production-ready Slack applications.
You will be responsible for implementing features such as slash commands, interactive messages, modals, events, and secure OAuth flows, while ensuring scalability, reliability, and clean code.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a Slack app using Bolt (Node.js or Python)
Implement slash commands, events, interactive messages, and modals
Integrate Slack APIs (Events API, Web API, OAuth)
Handle authentication, permissions, and token management securely
Deploy and maintain the app in a production environment (AWS, GCP, or similar)
Debug, optimize, and improve app performance
Write clean, well-documented, and testable code
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience building Slack apps with Bolt
Strong knowledge of Node.js or Python
Solid understanding of Slack APIs and permissions
Experience with interactive UI components (Block Kit, modals)
Familiarity with webhooks, REST APIs, and async workflows
Experience deploying apps to cloud environments
Ability to communicate clearly and work independently
Nice to Have
Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc.)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of security best practices for SaaS integrations
Prior work on enterprise or large-scale Slack apps
