Nutrition Content Creator
Budget: $5,000 – $10,000 USD
NTPO Program Redesign
The NTA’s current Nutritional Therapy Practitioner Online (NTPO) Program is a 10-month nutrition certification course that consists of a number of educational modules delivered in an entirely online format. While the program is successful in its current state, we always strive to improve the student experience and are commencing with a redesign that will optimize content delivery in the online format, improve accessibility for learners, strengthen the consistency of content, and provide an updated look and feel for today’s market.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the mission to prepare the next generation of holistic nutrition professionals to stay relevant in the digital realm and remain at the forefront of this fast-paced industry. If you have experienced the life-changing impacts food choices have on our bodies and want to be part of the team that shapes how this education will continue to reach new communities with lasting wellness—this project may be the perfect avenue for your passion!
Project Scope
The NTA will commence a full redesign of the NTPO Program, expanding it to 12 months, and redesigning the content and delivery of all modules. The new program is slated to launch for the May 2023 student cohort.
As a critical part of this redesign, we are looking for content creators in the following subject areas:
• Global Food History
• Basic Nutrition
• Body Systems
• Nutrient-Dense Diet
• Digestion
• Blood Sugar Regulation
• Sleep Support
• Stress Support
• Supplements
• Nutrition Coaching
The work entailed in this project primarily includes research, content writing, presentation creation, assignment/assessment development, and staff training.
From a research standpoint, the inputs for each module are defined as follows:
1. Traditional wisdom - information we’ve gathered about indigenous or traditional practices from around the world and details how those peoples have coexisted with their local ecosystems.
2. Experiential knowledge - This can include clinical observations and expert opinions and is often referred to as observational or anecdotal information.
3. Scientific research - This includes both historic and modern bodies of scientific work that are in the field of research or are based on scholarly scientific information, ideally subject to the peer-review process.
Education and Experience
• A Master’s level degree in Nutrition or other health and wellness-related field is required
• One year of content development experience, including writing and research, is required
• Developing content for online audiences in a classroom setting is preferred
Schedule
Product launch is slated for May 2023, with this contract spanning approx. 13 months from the start of project.
