Custom High-Protein Bar Recipe help from a nutrtional expert consultation
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
We are preparing to launch a new protein bar and have already developed the initial formula and macronutrient breakdown.
I am not looking for a recipe from scratch. We have our base ingredients and ratios set. However, I need an experienced food scientist or R&D chef to review our spreadsheet and identify any technical gaps before we move to kitchen trials.
Note: I will share the full ingredient list and ratios with the selected freelancer (after hiring or signing an NDA). For now, please know that this is a high-protein bar using a mix of dry ingredients and natural binders.
What I need from this consultation:
The "Missing Link": We have a clean label, but I am worried about texture stability. Based on your experience, are we missing a specific functional ingredient (like a humectant, emulsifier, or binder) that ensures the bar doesn't get hard or separate after a few weeks?
Ratio Check: Once you see the recipe, I need you to "stress test" our ratio of wet-to-dry ingredients. Will this hold together properly?
Nutritional Audit: A quick check to ensure our calculated protein/calorie counts look accurate based on standard industrial values.
Also, tips, and what are we missing?
Ideal Candidate: Someone who has successfully formulated protein bars for commercial sale and understands how to balance "natural" ingredients with shelf-stability requirements or at least someone with nutritional experience.
