Our server is under significant load due to the large amount of data stored and processed, resulting in slow response times, timeouts, and occasionally system crashes.
We need a skilled backend developer with expertise in Node.js and MongoDB to optimize the backend code and database to improve the system's ability to handle high traffic efficiently.
Scope of Work:
Database Optimization
Review MongoDB queries to ensure they are optimized for performance.
Ensure appropriate indexes are in place to speed up queries.
Analyze the current database schema and suggest improvements for scalability.
Backend Code Review
Review and optimize the Node.js backend code to ensure it scales well with a large number of concurrent users.
Identify any areas of inefficiency or blocking operations in the current implementation.
Implement any necessary optimizations to reduce server load and improve response times.
Caching Strategy Implementation (if necessary)
Implement caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis or similar) to reduce repeated database queries and improve response times during peak traffic periods.
Stress Testing & Load Analysis
Simulate high user traffic to understand how the system behaves under load.
Provide recommendations for any additional optimizations based on findings.
Server Monitoring & Suggestions
Analyze the current server setup to ensure it is adequately configured for high traffic.
Recommend any infrastructure improvements (e.g., scaling, load balancing) if needed.
Deliverables:
A detailed report on the optimizations made and the improvements in system performance.
Code changes/optimizations in the backend and database, with documentation where necessary.
Suggestions for any further performance improvements, if applicable.
