Ghostwrite Great Lakes Sailing Memoir

Job ID: 40061592

Budget: $10,000 – $20,000 USD

I spent 3½ unforgettable months circumnavigating all five Great Lakes solo on my 20-foot sailboat, Never Too Late, and I’m ready to turn the logbooks, diary pages, chart notes, and thousands of miles of memories into a publishable non-fiction narrative. What I need most now is a seasoned, already-published ghostwriter who can take my raw material and shape it into a compelling, well-structured story that reads like a true adventure novel while staying completely factual.

You’ll receive my daily journal entries, route maps, photos, and voice recordings. From there, I’d like us to collaborate on a clear chapter outline, then move into full manuscript drafting and iterative revisions until we have a polished book ready to query agents or submit directly to publishers. Experience with travel or sailing titles is a major plus, as is a proven track record guiding first-time authors through the publishing process.

Key deliverables:
• Detailed chapter-by-chapter outline approved by me
• First draft manuscript (approx. 70–80 k words)
• Two rounds of revisions incorporating my feedback
• Final, publication-ready manuscript with a short pitch/synopsis

If you bring strong narrative instincts, an ear for voice, and expertise in structuring long-form non-fiction, I’d love to dive in and bring this voyage to the page together.
