I need someone to teach me how to set up an http server on node.js

I need someone to show me how to set up a server and just handle sending strings from my home to my server via node.js (it is not local, so I do need to send it via the internet). It will be rather quick if you just prepare the code and send it over with a quick call so that I can ask questions about it.
All I need is to send strings from the client, and receive them on the server, handle it, and send a response back.
Any way you can achieve that is good with me as long as it uses node.js.
