ABOUT TRUSTVERIFY
TrustVerify is the UK's emerging identity verification, fraud intelligence, and AML compliance platform — purpose-built for SMEs, fintechs, and government bodies. Built by Magnificentech Solutions Ltd, TrustVerify operates as an orchestration layer: enabling clients to BUILD, ORCHESTRATE, and INTEGRATE best-in-class identity and compliance tools through a single, developer-friendly API surface.
THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with deep experience in Regtech, financial compliance systems, and applied machine learning. You will own end-to-end delivery of core TrustVerify platform modules — from data ingestion pipelines and ML model integration to polished developer-facing dashboards and compliance officer portals. You will work closely with the founder and a team of four engineers on a 30-week delivery roadmap.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, build, and maintain full-stack modules including identity verification, AML screening, fraud intelligence, and the Know Your Agent (KYA) framework for AI agent governance
Architect and implement RESTful and event-driven APIs (Node.js / Python) underpinning the TrustVerify multi-tenant platform, integrating third-party identity data suppliers
Build and maintain ML pipelines for fraud detection, risk scoring, and anomaly detection — including model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring in production
Develop and iterate on developer-facing dashboards, compliance portals, and API key management gateways using React and TypeScript
Implement and maintain robust data infrastructure on AWS (RDS/PostgreSQL, Redis, S3, Lambda) with a focus on security, scalability, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, AML, KYC)
Contribute to the platform's GEO/AI visibility infrastructure, supporting structured data output formats for LLM discoverability
Collaborate on Regtech integrations spanning biometric facial matching, document verification, PEP/Sanctions screening, and Open Banking connectivity
Uphold and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, code review standards, and the overall engineering culture as a senior team member
Support compliance posture (SOC 2 / ISO 27001 / GDPR readiness) through secure-by-default engineering practices
CORE SKILLS REQUIRED
BACKEND
Node.js, Python (FastAPI/Flask), RESTful APIs, microservices, PostgreSQL, Redis, message queues
FRONTEND
React, TypeScript, responsive UI, dashboard systems, data visualisation (D3 / Recharts)
MACHINE LEARNING
ML model deployment, fraud detection pipelines, risk scoring, scikit-learn / PyTorch, MLOps basics
CLOUD & DEVOPS
AWS (Lambda, RDS, S3, API Gateway), Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions), infrastructure as code
REGTECH / COMPLIANCE
AML, KYC/KYB, PEP/Sanctions, identity document verification, GDPR, FCA regulatory context
SECURITY
Secure API design, OAuth2/JWT, data encryption, OWASP best practices, role-based access control
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role
Demonstrable experience building in a Regtech, fintech, identity, or compliance-adjacent environment
Proven track record deploying and maintaining machine learning models in production environments
Strong command of system design, multi-tenant architectures, and API-first platform thinking
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
Excellent written and verbal communication — able to translate technical decisions into product and compliance language
NICE TO HAVE
Experience with Know Your Agent (KYA) frameworks or AI governance tooling
Familiarity with open banking APIs (e.g. TrueLayer, Plaid) or biometric identity providers
Exposure to Probo, Scrut Automation, or SOC 2 compliance automation platforms
Understanding of UK financial regulation (FCA, HMRC, Companies House APIs)
Experience at an early-stage startup or in a founding-team engineering capacity
Contributions to open-source Regtech or identity tooling
