Short api project followed by ongoing work
Budget: $15 – $25 AUD
I am seeking a skilled developer to create a short-term API project followed by ongoing work.
We have been provided access to an API from one of our data providers, NetSIP. The API is SOAP based (XML) and is locked down via IP address and requires the request to be signed by a client certificate (provided). We will provide access to a Windows 10 virtual machine which you will be able to use to develop the software. You may develop things locally, however, the API will only be able to be reached from the virtual machine so it must be used for testing. You can install any software you like with approval from the technical team.
The specifics around the user interface are not super important and can be a very basic implementation. All that is required is that someone of moderate technical aptitude could easily update the site details. In general, the implementation will require the following functionality:
• Have some form of storing the current address associated with the phone number.
• When an address is updated, it should reach out to the API to update the IPND.
• It should handle any failures gracefully.
• Once an update is completed, it should be stored in the local “database”.
Examples of how this may work include:
• An excel/CSV spreadsheet stores local data and a python script is run to update changed values.
• An SQLite database stores the data and a script is run to update changed values.
• An input webpage allows a user to view records, add and update them which submits a request to a backend that submits the data to the IPND.
The ongoing work willl be development for an ongoing project. Knowlege of Aterisk, Vicidial and PHP are a big plus for this.
