Shopify App development + Migration + Approval

Scope of Work
1. Codebase Migration
• Extract and understand the existing MVP from Lovable.ai
• Rebuild / adapt the application into a Shopify-compatible architecture
• Ensure clean, maintainable, and scalable code
2. Shopify App Development
• Develop a public or custom Shopify app using Shopify APIs
• Implement:
o OAuth authentication
o Embedded app experience (Shopify Admin)
o Webhooks and API integrations
• Set up app using Shopify Partner account
3. Database & Backend Setup
• Design and migrate data into a suitable database (e.g., PostgreSQL / Firebase / etc.)
• Ensure secure and scalable backend architecture
• Handle user data, transactions, and app logic
4. Feature Implementation
• Replicate and improve existing MVP features
• Ensure seamless integration with Shopify stores
• Optimize performance and UX
5. Testing & Debugging
• End-to-end testing of app functionality
• Fix bugs and ensure compliance with Shopify standards
6. Shopify App Approval
• Prepare app listing (descriptions, screenshots, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with Shopify App Store requirements
• Support through the Shopify app review and approval process

Required Skills
• Strong experience with Shopify app development
• Proficiency in:
o Node.js / React +TypeScript (or similar stack)
o Shopify APIs (REST / GraphQL)
• Experience with OAuth, webhooks, and embedded apps
• Database design & backend architecture
• Prior experience getting apps approved on Shopify App Store (preferred)
• Familiarity with Lovable.ai (bonus, not mandatory)

Deliverables
• Fully functional Shopify app (production-ready)
• Clean and documented codebase
• Deployed backend + database
• Successful submission (and ideally approval) on Shopify App Store

Timeline
• Expected timeline: 2–4 weeks (flexible based on scope discussion)
