We are reposting this project to refine scope clarity and ensure alignment before moving forward. After reviewing prior bids, we realized some candidates misunderstood the native audio and monetization enforcement requirements. This updated description is meant to eliminate ambiguity so we can move efficiently with the right technical partner.

We are building a production-ready mobile podcast platform and are looking for a strong backend + mobile engineer who can take an existing React + TypeScript frontend and convert it into a fully compliant iOS + Android application using Capacitor (or an equivalent hybrid-to-native approach).

This is not a web wrapper project.
This must be a real App Store / Play Store–ready application with proper native audio handling and monetization enforcement.

Phase 1 Scope

Core requirements include:

• Convert existing React + TypeScript frontend into a native mobile app
• Proper iOS AVAudioSession configuration
• Android foreground service + media session
• Background playback + lock screen controls
• No-skip ad enforcement (server authoritative)
• Append-only financial ledger (wallet derived from entries)
• Stripe integration (webhooks, idempotency, reconciliation)
• Affiliate + sponsorship revenue tracking
• Role-based access (Listener, Creator, Advertiser, Admin, Moderator)
• Standard podcast features (episodes, comments, subscriptions, uploads, playlists, etc.)
• App Store & Play Store submission
• must include 30 days after before monthly payment for any issues that may arrive

• Node.js (NestJS preferred)
• PostgreSQL
• Redis

• AWS

We are open to alternative stacks if you clearly justify scalability, security, and store compliance benefits.

The top 5 shortlisted candidates will be given 48 hours to review the existing frontend codebase before final commitment.

This ensures:

• You are comfortable with the code structure
• You can confidently convert it to a native mobile app
• There are no architectural mismatches
• Both sides avoid surprises after award

If you are not comfortable reviewing code prior to commitment, this project will not be a fit.

Long-Term Opportunity

This is Phase 1 of a larger roadmap.
We have 8–10 additional applications planned over the next 12–18 months.

We are looking for:

• A long-term technical partner
• Ongoing monthly maintenance (target under $350/month)
• First right of refusal on future builds
