Senior API and full-stack Node / typescript developers for AWS cloud native projct

We are an experienced client and, over the years, have developed a process to find capable people. We prefer direct invitations over public jobs but sometimes will make jobs public in order to cast a wider net. As mentioned, we prefer individual contractors over agencies because we manage delivery ourselves. For this reason., applicant must have good english skills. Our recruiting process starts with a quick interview and then, for successful interviewees, a test task. We are perfectly happy to hire first so we can pay for your time for the test task but also understand that some contractors prefer to keep recruitment processes pre-contract. As we all understand, it's difficult for both clients and contractors to know if there is a great match until the rubber hits the road and work starts. Our experience so far is that about 1 in 2 of our hires on Upwork successfully complete the test task (because our CV screening and interview screens out those that are unlikely to succeed). Some of our freelancers become long term colleagues and move from job to job with us over many years. We aim to pay well and to provide a fair work-life balance. although we are Singapore based, we do not expect you to work in our timezone, only to crossover sufficiently to attend a daily standup.
