Secure Election Web App Development

Project Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Full Stack MERN Developer to join our ongoing client project. The web application is being built to manage election-related workflows, so security is a top priority.
We have already built the frontend UI using Next.js, and the backend (Node.js + Express.js) is partially complete. We are now looking for a skilled developer to complete the remaining development, ensure full integration, and follow best security practices throughout the app.
Technology Stack:
Frontend: Next.js (React-based)
Backend: Node.js with Express.js
Database: MongoDB (Mongoose)
Other Tools: REST APIs, GitHub, Postman
Key Responsibilities:
Review and work with the existing codebase
Refactor frontend components and clean up code if needed
Perform API integration with the frontend (Next.js)
Finalize backend logic and complete missing API endpoints
Implement secure coding practices and data protection mechanisms
Ensure proper authentication, authorization, and validation
Optimize for performance, scalability, and reliability
Required Skills:
Strong experience in the MERN stack (especially Next.js and Node.js)
Deep understanding of web application security best practices
Proficient in creating and integrating RESTful APIs
Experience working with MongoDB and Mongoose
Knowledge of JWT, session management, HTTPS, input sanitization, etc.
Ability to write clean, modular, and scalable code
Bonus (Not Mandatory):
Experience building secure or sensitive web platforms
Familiarity with DevOps, deployment (Vercel, AWS, etc.)
Project Status:
Frontend UI is 80% complete
Backend APIs are partially built
Some features and integrations are pending
