Scalable API Development for Tailored Quizzes

I’m looking for a seasoned developer with a strong background in API development and educational technology. The task is to build a scalable API for our Learning Management System (LMS). This API will be responsible for dynamically generating quizzes tailored to user performance in real-time, all while adhering to International Baccalaureate (IB) standards.
Key Requirements:
- The API should be capable of seamlessly parsing and managing content in various formats (text, images, PDFs) from the LMS, ensuring the content is properly indexed and accessible for quiz generation.
- Implement an intelligent system to categorise content based on topics, subtopics, and difficulty levels, aligning with the IB curriculum standards.
- Develop an algorithm to generate questions that adapt in difficulty based on the user’s previous answers. The algorithm should assess the user’s performance, adjusting the complexity of subsequent questions in real-time.
- Ensure that all generated questions adhere to the stylistic and cognitive requirements of the International Baccalaureate, including higher-order thinking skills, such as analysis, synthesis, and evaluation.
- Implement a feature to generate a list of MCQs for each topic, allowing users to complete quizzes that adapt dynamically based on their accuracy rate.
- Integrate a system to track and rate users’ confidence levels with the content they engage with. The API should analyze their responses, assigning a confidence score that reflects their understanding and familiarity with the topic.
- Allow users the option to override the system-generated confidence level, enabling them to input their perceived confidence. This feature should be factored into future question difficulty adjustments and recommendations.
- Develop a notification system within the API that prompts users to revisit topics they are least familiar with. This should be triggered once they complete an entire chapter, with notifications sent at intervals to encourage continued engagement.
