Realtime Refreshing table with Node.js and Ajax

Project Brief:
Need to build a real-time table which refreshes with AJAX automatically with fading effects when the value update. If you have seen a live scoreboard or live stock sheet, its basically the same thing.
We will be grabbing data and information about stocks from my api endpoint and updating this table. The table will have multiple stocks, their prices and other values that will be calculated using formulas I’ll code.
Each column has a rule set to highlight the largest 3, lowest 3, lowest, and highest value. They will change in color.
Lastly, I also need to auto sorting functionality and for this we will set a rank system. For example, If one stock meets the most conditions (got most highlights), it gets a rank from 1-5. The stock with the highest points move towards the top. Naturally, the stock with highest rank will also have the most highlighted columns.
