UI React Developer - Web development

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Web 2 UI Developer on a contractual basis proficient in Chakra UI, Node.js, React, HTML, and CSS to join our dynamic team at Zerolend. As a Web 2 UI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining user interfaces for our web applications that are not only visually appealing but also highly functional and responsive.
ZeroLend is a decentralized lending protocol built on blockchain technology, designed to provide individuals and businesses with a secure and transparent platform for borrowing and lending digital assets. We are also the largest lending market on L2s—Linea, zkSync, Manta, Blast, and X Layer—with a focus on liquid restaking tokens (LRTs) lending, governance, real-world assets (RWAs) lending, and account abstraction.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop user-friendly web interfaces using Chakra UI, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.
2. Collaborate with backend developers to integrate user interfaces with server-side logic using Node.js.
3. Utilize React.js to build reusable UI components and optimize application performance.
4. Implement designs provided by the UI/UX team, translating design wireframes and mockups into code.
5. Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
6. Work closely with the product management team to understand user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
7. Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to project timelines.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a UI developer with expertise in Chakra UI, Node.js, React, HTML, and CSS.
3. Strong proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries.
4. Solid understanding of web development principles and best practices.
5. Experience working with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
6. Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
8. Experience with UI/UX design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch) is a plus.
