4-Player Interactive Basketball Game Development -- 2
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am building a 2-player pop a shot basketball game. I am building 2 of them so I can link the 2 games together to play a 4-player game. Each 2-player pop a shot basketball game will have a 27" monitor built into the backboard to show the scoring.
I want to use something like Raspberry Pi and sensors to keep score when 7" basketballs pass through the hoop. The score and game clock will be displayed on each monitor. If 2 units are linked it will display the same info on both monitors.
To start a game you either push a start button or score a basket when no one is playing.
When a game starts a 3 second countdown will display on the screen. Then a 30 second game will start. All baskets worth 2 points, but last 10 seconds baskets are worth 3 points. I found a youtube video online that provides a lot of detail (below). I know nothing about raspberry Pi so I want to hire someone to research everything, tell me exactly what to purchase and any needed assembly instructions. Then send me the software/ codes so I can test it and I want copies of the code for backup in case something breaks. I also want to set up a speaker for audio.
I will rehire same person for similar projects in the future because I want to make similar types of games for other sports.

1. When I turn power on the game will be in "attract" mode. Attract mode has a customizable graphic on monitor the monitor.
2. When start button pressed OR a basket is scored during attract mode, screen changes to customizable image and a 3 sec count down display will count down on monitor then game starts.
3. Game time is 30 seconds.
A. Customizable graphic template on screen with a count down timer displays remaining time, score is displayed for 2 or 4 players. (can display change from 2 to 4 player based on detecting a 2nd unit attached OR will it just leave player 3 and 4 blank during a 2-player game.
B. Ability to enter the players names, but default is PLAYER 1, PLAYER 2, ETC….
4. When time ends, the winning players score flashes for 8 seconds then game loops back to attract mode.
5. If game is tied when time runs out, OVERTIME appears on screen and 15 secs is added until someone wins.
6. In attract mode when no one is playing a high score is displayed with the players name.
leaderboard displays the high score of the day with custom graphic. High score is saved until power is turned off.

1. Flip power on
2. attract music loops (I want to be able to load my own .mp3 audio file)
3. Count down music plays when game is 1st started.
4. During the game customizable background music plays
5. Random Sound effects (I can change) when baskets are scored.
