NodeJS Authentication Integration

Overview: Building a mobile app that has to connect to our MSSQL server on premise. There are 2 steps to this project. Step 1: Security and Authentication, Step 2: Support REST Calls for MSSQL CRUD processes. Just bidding Step 1 now. The deliverable will be a NodeJS Express server with the following functionality:
Implement an userID and password login authentication in a new Node.js Express project using JSON Web Tokens (JWT) for token-based authentication.
