NodeJS App Bug - Repeated calls to API

I have a NodeJS application that renders products from an eCommerce API. The application uses an external service (IPStack) to determine a user's country on page load. I've observed that the application makes several calls to the API, quickly depleting our allocated quota for calls to their API.
I need a very experienced, senior NodeJS developer to fix what might be a minor bug right now, however there will be a lot more complex tasks, so someone who has a lot of experienced is preferred here. I would prefer to work with individuals, not agencies.
