Node.js Website Troubleshooting & Local Setup

I recently acquired a pre-built Node.js website from a freelance developer. During our initial interaction, the project was shared with me over a live session — everything appeared to function properly, and I was assured it would run locally without any problems. I received all source files accordingly.
However, when I attempted to launch the project on my own machine the following day, it wouldn’t start. I haven’t made any modifications to the code or settings. Unfortunately, the developer has since become unresponsive and is no longer reachable.
As someone with limited experience in Node.js, I’m seeking a developer who can help me validate the functionality of the project and ensure it can run locally. Specifically, I’m looking for someone to:
Set up and run the project on their own system
Install all required dependencies
Identify any issues preventing it from launching (e.g., missing modules, runtime errors, configuration problems)
Provide a clear explanation if something is broken, along with suggestions or steps to fix it
Confirm that the site functions correctly if everything is working as expected
