Node.JS / Fix website launch issue
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
A few days ago, I bought a pre-built Node.js website from an independent developer. During the handover, everything looked good — the site was shown to me over screen share and appeared to be running smoothly. I received the full source code, and the developer assured me it would work locally without any issues.
However, when I tried to run the project on my own machine the next day, it wouldn’t start. I haven’t changed anything in the code or settings. Since then, the developer has gone silent and is no longer responding.
I don’t have much experience with Node.js and need someone who can verify whether the project is actually functional. Here's what I’m looking for:
Set up the project on your own system
Install all necessary packages or dependencies
Try running the site and troubleshoot any errors
If it fails, give me a clear explanation of what’s wrong and what would be needed to fix it
If it works, just confirm that everything is set up properly and the site runs as expected
Please let me know if you’re available to help with this and what your estimated cost and timeline would be. It would also be great to hear if you’ve handled similar projects before.
