We’re a startup in the wellness space building a smart, SMS-based automation system to help individuals stay on track with their daily goals. The system is fully scoped with a detailed blueprint and architecture.
You’ll be working closely with the project founder to build a backend that integrates multiple APIs, handles intelligent logic and user interactions, and syncs with our CRM.
? Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a Node.js/Express backend
Set up Twilio webhooks to process inbound and outbound SMS
Build a message routing system based on natural user inputs
Integrate with third-party APIs for data enrichment and decision-making
Sync system actions with a CRM platform via REST API
Develop smart triggers, scheduled events, and internal logging
✅ Required Skills:
Advanced Node.js and Express.js
Strong understanding of Twilio SMS APIs
Experience integrating REST APIs (OAuth, webhooks, JSON parsing)
Familiarity with systems involving automation, scheduling, or data tracking
Clear, modular code with good documentation
Bonus: Familiarity with AI tools like OpenAI or prompt-based interaction

Fully functional backend service that routes incoming messages to the correct action
Dynamic response system for user interactions
Automated and scheduled SMS handling
Integration with external platforms (instructions and endpoints provided)
