Node.js App Modifications on Raspberry Pi

Job ID: 39180111

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I have found an application on Github (https://github.com/fabriziobertocci/coloradoScoreboard) that I would like help to modify and operationalize. I'm not a programmer but know just enough to make a mess.

This application sniffs the serial output of a Colorado Timing System Swim meet console. The output of the console usually goes to a scoreboard, I want to use this (as designed) to grab that output and create an HTML overlay of the data for a video stream. I may need some help customizing their HTML output as well.

The application is currently set up for 6 lanes. I would love to add functionality to increase to 8 or 10 lanes. The serial console output would already have the information we would just need to be able to set up the application to access it.

Ideally, in the end, I would have an image I can put on an micro SD card with the OS, that I could put in a PI and I can hook up to the console and see the output of the console. There could also be some back and forth to dial this in.

The ideal freelancer for this project should have:
- Strong skills in Node.js and Raspberry Pi
- Ability to operationalize applications
- Capability to improve application performance and fix bugs
- Good communication skills for providing updates and suggestions.
