Modular Online Car Dealership Site

Job ID: 39910313

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

We need a clean, modular online car dealership website built with a modern JavaScript framework (React/Angular/Vue). The codebase must be easy to extend so future features can be added without rewriting the core.

Tech preference
Preferably React for the frontend, with Node.js (or a compatible backend framework). The architecture should be modular and easy to integrate with future APIs.

Design priorities
The website should be responsive, user-friendly, and have a clean, modern look. Mobile-first responsiveness is the top priority; please use lightweight styling to keep load times low and layouts fluid across devices.

Core features (Phase 1)

Vehicle listings with image gallery, price, specs, and VIN

Robust search & filter (make, model, year, price, mileage, etc.)

Contact form that routes inquiries to a designated email

Integration readiness
Build with clear integration points for future modules (e.g., inspection/reconditioning reports, payments, authentication, tokenization/API services). No need to implement these now—just ensure the architecture supports them.

Workflow & collaboration

You can work in your local environment.

At each milestone, please push code to our private GitHub repo and deploy the build to a staging server I’ll provide. This is a standard backup/collaboration practice so progress is tracked and accessible.

Keep commits granular and well-commented; include a brief README with setup steps and env variables.

Next steps
Please send:

1. A realistic timeline for the basic build

2. A cost breakdown per milestone (setup, listings, search/filter, contact form, final polish)

3. Links to similar projects, ideally showing modular architecture

Clear, proactive communication is important to me. If this phase goes smoothly, there’s a long roadmap of follow-on features.
