MERN Stack Application Health Check
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
We are looking for a developer / organisation to help with the following issues in regard to a MERN stack application, hosted on Heroku, with a MongoDB Atlas DB. The application is an auction platform that helps raise money for charities through bidding on auction lots.
• Debug and fix a suspected memory leak which is causing high memory usage on Heroku
• Refactor the integration from the front end React App to the back end Node.js app specifically for the auction lots which currently poll the DB every 5 seconds to check for new bids. We would like this to be refactored to a MongoDB change stream (or alternative suggestions welcome) for better efficiency.
• Finally we would like a fully “health check” of the entire application / infrastructure / security etc to understand a prioritised list of actions that are required to move the application from an MVP to a more hardened production build. The output of this task may well lead to ongoing work either on a project or retained basis.
