Senior Backend Developer
We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our team. As the Backend Developer, you will be in charge of connecting our Frontend to your developed Backend and making our portal functional. The Frontend Team will be on your side to help implement.
What you'll do
-------------------------
Develop the Backend Technology for our MVP.
Develop high-quality features, ensure high test coverage and troubleshoot to eliminate bugs
Agile Scrum. You will be in our Slack chat and communicate with other developers. You will attend to 2-3 meetings per week.
You can demonstrate your backend engineering capabilities working with Node.js and Express.js, and you are comfortable using both.
You can demonstrate your ability to lead the development and deployment of containerised applications.
You will develop the API for MVP.
Who you are
Excellent skills using Node.js and TypeScript
Experience in designing APIs
Experience working with relational databases (we use PostgreSQL)
Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) - bonus points for EC2
Experience with front-end web technologies like React.
Strong knowledge and experience in backend development systems and methodologies
Experience with containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong communication skills while acting as a bridge between backend and frontend
