Startup Backend / DevOps Engineer (Growth Opportunity)

We are a US-registered technology company building a fintech compliance platform and related backend infrastructure tools.
We are looking for a motivated junior engineer who wants to grow into a Backend / DevOps role. This is a long-term opportunity for someone early in their career who wants real startup experience, direct responsibility, and room to grow.
You will work directly with the founder and help manage backend systems, deployments, repository workflows, and code integration.

Project Type
Long-term monthly engagement (part-time).
This is not a one-time task.

Responsibilities
Manage Git repositories, branches, and merge requests in GitLab
Maintain and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines
Deploy backend services and support release workflows
Manage environment variables and server configuration
Work with PostgreSQL and Supabase
Test APIs using Postman
Execute patches, fixes, and updates from development tools

This role is suitable for someone with 1-3 years of experience or strong self-taught skills. You do not need to be a senior engineer, but you must be reliable, honest, and willing to learn fast.

Compensation Options
Option A
USD 150 per month for the first 6 months
USD 300 per month afterward
Potential startup equity based on performance and long-term commitment

Option B
USD 150 per month for the first 4 months
USD 500 per month afterward
No equity

Part-time remote role.
Minimum availability required: 4 hours per day (approximately 25-30 hours/week).
Working hours are flexible, but the developer must be available for daily communication, updates, and task execution.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow with a US startup environment and build real hands-on experience.

Screening Requirement
