Javascript/NodeJS & MongoDB to build employee engagement tool for Slack
Budget: $15 – $25 CAD
Who we are: We are a Canadian tech start-up that is enabling the modern workforce to be productive, healthy and happy. This is a massive and rapidly growing market as exemplified by headlines re: burnout, wellbeing, ‘The Great Resignation’.
What we are doing: We are building a purpose-built app for Slack. Furthermore, our app will provide employees with real & immediate value. This contrasts existing tools which require a separate login/web-app and only provides value for HR.
Goal: To develop the MVP for our proof-of-concept (“POC”) projects with customers in the technology or marketing sectors. Target for POC kick off is mid-April/May 2022.
If POC is successful and the team likes the collaboration/communication, we will explore extending the contract to take the app from MVP to a Commercial-ready product.
Work completed so far:
- Market research
- UI/UX mock-ups
- High fidelity prototype & user testing/validation
- Technology stack definition
- Data model & entities definition
- Happy path developed
Required skills & experience:
- Experience with Swagger / OpenAPI written in Typescript
- Portfolio using Javascript / NodeJS (must provide)
- Experience with MongoDB
- Experience with serverless architecture
- Familiarity with Slack API Block Kit Framework is a huge plus
To be a best fit for this project:
- Strong writing and oral communication skills. We prefer async collaboration.
- Ask questions if unclear.
- Be comfortable with uncertainty. We are building a novel concept from nothing.
- Write “I am a human” at the top of your proposal.
- Communicate expectations, issues, risks regularly.
- Willingness to sign an NDA.
