Implement OpenID to Node Vue.js Web Application

We have a web application in development that currently uses JWT to authenticate users.
The web application is divided into a frontend Vue.js UI that handles all the forward/public-facing user experience and a backend that handles all the user database and RESTApi calls to two outside systems.
This project is to convert the frontend JWT user authentication to OpenID.
- All backend user database functions must still be functional
- OpenID provider is Okta but your code must allow for other OpenID providers (such as Azure)
- You must provide a brief explanation of your code and how to switch to another OpenID provider if needed
- This authentication will be used to authenticate to another system - API provider
- You must provide instructions on any dependencies, npm/yarn scripts explanations
- Instructions and documentation must be complete to allow us to deploy in development and production servers
