I desire to make changes in an existing web-application,
About existing web-app,
It is an energy monitoring system which collects data from digital multifunction meter via RS-485, MODBUS protocol. This data is than used for calculations & analytics
Changes will be for,
1) Customizable reports which includes arithmetic calculations
Existing web-app uses,
1) NODE JS - version → v12.20.1
2) Postgresql - version → 13.1
3) InfluxDB - version → 1.8.4
4) Apache2 - version → Apache/2.4.41
5) PM2 - version → 4.5.4
Reasons why iam looking for a new guy,
1) Delayed reply regarding time-line
2) Inefficient testing with too many after delivery issues
More about the upgradation,
Currently web-app uses a "custom report", which has certain arithmetic equations which are hard-coded and user has to select from given equations, I desire that the web-app would accept arithmetic equations written by the user as we do it in excel. Here, the variables in the equation will be data received from digital meter & results of arithmetic equation used in that same report.
Summary :
1) Addition of a whole new feature in an existing web-app
2) Create a report tab which can accept arithmetic equations like excel accepts arithmetic equations
3) Changing the front-end of software necessary for the new feature
