Fitness Accountability App Development

Job Description:
I’m looking for a skilled and trustworthy app developer to help build an affordable but scalable MVP (minimum viable product) for a fitness accountability platform.
The concept is similar to FocusMate but geared toward fitness: users will be matched with accountability partners based on their fitness goals, routines, and schedules. They’ll check in with each other via video, chat, or confirmation tools to stay consistent with workouts, early wake-ups, or diet plans.
Key Features for Phase 1 (MVP):
• User registration & profile setup (with fitness goals, system, or identity tags)
• Matching algorithm for accountability partners
• Scheduled live check-ins (video or chat)
• Calendar syncing & workout reminders
• Basic progress tracking (text/notes only for now)
• Backend dashboard or admin panel
• Simple payment gateway for future monetization (optional at first)
Tech Stack Preference:
Open to your recommendation—React Native or Flutter for cross-platform is fine. Backend in Node.js or Firebase is okay for MVP.
Bonus (but not required):
• Familiarity with fitness/wellness apps
• Previous work with matchmaking, productivity, or habit-based platforms
• Design/UI skills for a clean, simple user experience
Budget & Timeline:
• Budget-friendly MVP to start. Will scale once user traction is proven.
• Timeline: 4–8 weeks for MVP
• Long-term opportunity for continued development & equity options down the line
Must-Haves:
• Native English speaker or fluent with strong communication skills
• Based in the U.S. or a time zone-friendly location
• Willing to hop on Zoom calls
• Passionate about fitness, accountability, or wellness is a plus
