Finalize React/Node.js App & Deployment

Project Brief

I have a production‐ready Node.js/Express backend (DynamoDB, S3, Stripe, Resend email, etc.) and a React/TypeScript frontend that’s ~99% complete. I need someone to finish the last mile of integration, QA, polishing and deployment.

Scope of Work
Env & API wiring

Configure the frontend to consume all existing API routes (public + admin).

Load and document required .env variables (without exposing any social-proof offsets).

End-to-end testing & bug-fixing

Public site:

Fetch/list latest posts, by slug, category, author, date.

TTS audio preview + full audio playback.

Subscribe/confirm flow (email → token → confirmation).

One-time tip & subscription checkout via Stripe + webhook handling.

“Submit a Leak” whistleblower document upload → S3 + alert email.

Admin dashboard:

CRUD for posts (create, update, soft-delete, regenerate audio).

CRUD for categories & authors (including avatar upload).

CRUD for breaking-news banners & resend email.

View & delete subscriptions.

View & delete comments.

Verify all rate-limits, validation errors, pagination, and edge cases.

UI polish & responsiveness

Fix any styling/layout bugs in public and admin pages.

Ensure mobile/tablet breakpoints render correctly.

Deployment to EC2

Provision Ubuntu server, install Node.js, Nginx (or Apache), PM2 (or systemd).

Build & serve frontend; run backend on port 5001 behind reverse-proxy with HTTPS.

Provide documented deploy scripts or step-by-step instructions in the README.

Deliverables
Fully integrated, tested & bug-free frontend.

Responsive, polished UI (public + admin).

EC2 deployment configured with HTTPS and process management.

Updated README with setup, build & deployment instructions.
