Existing Google Cloud API Function in Node.js 14 Needs to be Updated

Hello,

I have a familiarity with how the script works, but I would like to learn more, as well as edit the current state to improve performance. Right now, the script times out because how the data is pulled is taking too long (more than the 9 minutes). There is one pub/sub and one data pull scheduler, which now needs to be split and parallelized so the function does not time out.
