Electron app using tracespace library

Job ID: 33625954

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

The big picture is to create some software to generate tool paths for a PCB milling machine. You don't need to know what that means, but it would allows users to import circuit board design files (Gerber files), which tracespace would do for us, show them on the screen, allow the SVGs to be dragged/positioned. The user could select a bit size from a drop-down menu. This is the first milestone.

Next would be using polybool.js to combine the shapes that tracespace puts out. They provide a function for this. We would also use this functionality combined with the user's choice for bit size to make the shapes larger by a certain amount. They would not be displayed; this would be for internal computational use later. This is the second milestone.

Last step is to convert polygon perimeters into tool paths and send commands over USB. I have already demonstrated that node-hid would work for this portion. This is the third milestone.

I don't necessarily need someone to do all of this right now (although that is a plus) but if you could do the first step then I would be interested. Please get in touch and we can more thoroughly outline the expectations.
