DevOps support for new project -- 2
Budget: $15 – $25 CAD
I'm looking for a DevOps resource that will help me setup a new platform for a training project.
The objective is to learn DevOps by creating a small app from scratch. Starting from simple to complex.
I'll be using React.js, Node.js, MongoDb, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc. I need support on configuring all the server, tools, dev workstation, etc.
I want to start with a fully managed Ubuntu Server in DigitalOcean (Droplets) and work my way up to a full blown secure and scalable (multi-server) environment. The idea is to learn along the way. So I won't be using AWS, Azure or Google to start but I expect everything I build to be able to run on any cloud provider. I don't want to use the easy tools since I this is primarily to learn so I want to be able to understand the underlying infrastructure which is why I want to be able to build this using mostly console / command line.
I'm inspired by the work done by Juraj Majerik. I basically want to follow what he did so take a look at what he's done. The issue is that I'm finding issues with what he did that I can't resolve so I'm looking for an expert to support me.

The DevOps will need to write all the scripts that are required to setup, per module, according to my work deliverables. So I'll ask for a module setup (i.e. Docker) and I'll expect you to code in Github and be able to explain it, in JIRA. The actual application code I'll do myself.
I want all documentation to be done in JIRA (english) and all code to be in a private repo in Github. I'll provide access.
I only want to use Open Source solutions that I can run and configure myself but I'll be looking for recommendations for code repo, CI, CD, Monitoring, etc.
I need someone with extensive experience with DevOps and Infrastructure as code to set this up.
Basically, I can usually do most of the work but I get stuck on stuff that requires someone with experience to move on to the next step. For example, I can't get to Github Actions to deploy my organisational private repo to Digital Ocean droplet. There are plenty of example to deploy a public repo but not specifically for my use case. I basically want support for those use cases / tasks that I'm trying to get done.
So I'd like to get around 10 hours a week for the next few weeks while I set the entire infrastructure framework for my demo application. I want to pay hourly on the work done.
This is going to be a playground for learning technologies and trying out concept like microservices, event driven applications, etc. So I'm going to keep the application to a demo level to try out concepts. This is not going to be a full blown commercial application but more a let's build something simple to learn some concept. So I need someone who will support me on the infrastructure setup side.
